My Therapeutic Approach

I am an integrative therapist, which means I use a range of therapeutic approaches to create a unique model for you. Throughout the sessions, you may benefit from a person-centred approach, where we focus on your conscious thoughts and self-perception, or you may benefit more from a psychodynamic perspective, where more time is spent on uncovering the unconscious and past experiences. Clients often benefit from a range of approaches, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and TA (Transactional Analysis) depending on their needs and the stage of therapy. Whichever model we use, the relationship we create together is the most important factor. Through a supportive, collaborative and safe environment, personal growth CAN be achieved.

My practice is built on a foundation of empathy, collaboration, and a deep understanding of human development, informed by years in both education and psychotherapy. I am committed to providing a supportive environment for your growth.

Creating a Space for Change

Core Principles of My Practice

Client-Centered & Empathetic

My primary focus is on you and your unique experiences. I provide a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and respected.

Integrative Approach

I draw from various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, tailoring the approach to best suit your individual needs and goals. This might include elements of CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and humanistic approaches.

Leveraging Educational Experience

My background as a Teacher and Deputy Head provides a deep understanding of developmental stages, family systems, and the impact of environmental factors on well-being, especially valuable when working with families or issues stemming from earlier life experiences.

Collaborative & Goal-Oriented

Therapy is a collaborative process. We will work together to identify your strengths, set meaningful goals, and develop practical strategies to help you achieve them and foster lasting change.

Focus on Strengths & Resilience

While addressing challenges, I also focus on identifying and building upon your inherent strengths and resilience, empowering you to navigate future difficulties with greater confidence.
